About This Project

CyberGuard-NIDS is a network intrusion detection dashboard built with a Random Forest model and a Streamlit interface.

It was built during the EDUNET Cybersecurity with Generative AI internship, taking the intrusion-detection concepts from the curriculum and turning them into a working tool.

Problem

Traditional signature-based intrusion detection misses novel attacks; ML-based detection needs a usable way to inspect and interpret results.

Why I Built It

Built as the hands-on deliverable of the EDUNET internship to apply ML to real security problems.

What I Learned

Key Takeaways

Random Forest classification, feature handling for network traffic, and building an interactive dashboard with Streamlit.
